The Red Moon

Red moon or blood moon is a natural
phenomenon. It happens because of Sunlight reaching the moon is filtered
through the Earth’s atmosphere and scatters the red component of light to
create the “blood moon” phenomenon. The color depends on how deep the moon is
in the umbra and the nature of the Earth’s atmosphere — clean and light, or dusty
and polluted. The more pollution, the less likely you are to see the red color.
